Looking for a job when you’re new to UX is MADDENING. and its only getting more competitive. and trust me it doesnt stop at that level.

Here are some suggestions on improving your ux portofilio

(Disclaimer these are not stated as facts and based solely on my own trial and error, constructive feedback given to me pertaining my own case studies, and are merely suggestions that I hope help or spark creative solutions to the creators and reviewers of case studies)

Suggestion 1. Throw out the case study template you were given by your bootcamp.
If you’re a new designer that just finished one there are a handful of Bootcamps that give their students nearly identical templates to follow and they are having an end result of an abundance of portfolios all looking so similar they are difficult to differentiate. I am sure you have read posts that were something like ‘ a hiring manager only looks at your portfolio for 20 seconds’ . Let’s dissect that statement as if it were truth.

Hiring managers probably look at hundreds of portfolios. So They immediately scan to find what they are looking for and if they don’t find that immediately they move on to the next.
