I have lived in new york my entire life. I lived in east new york, I lived in bushwick when it wasn’t expensive. Williamsburg when there were no finance bros occupying it and there is only one thing that stays the same in new york city

IT IS CONSTANTLY CHANGING.

when I first started living on the upper east side or so ive dubbed it (land of the karens) i couldn’t sneeze without some lady making a post on the next door app about it. Being asked “may i help you” by some woman (who i can only assume thinks she is mayor of the block) is insulting when you’re waiting for an uber in front of your own damn apt building. Or being told my dog (who was wearing a coat) is underdressed while being lectured by some strange woman is just plain stupid and time consuming. so why stay in this area?

I think since no one here has sex or fun of any kind and you’re walking around past 10pm and not a soul is in sight and you’re in fucking manhattan…
