Problems :
Walmart stores have never been a great experience for most. But things at America’s biggest brick and mortar retailer have only gotten worse.
By Design:
A few years back Walmart made it mandatory for its design employees to work on site.
In Arkansas.
Combined with low salaries Resulting in a huge dilution of talent in their product teams.
Setting the scene
With the proliferation of poorly trained AI models, & self check out. And a lack of store employees working at regular check out lanes. Additionally stores like Walmart are designed with dark zones where the WiFi & cell service doesn’t work, thus forcing its customers to use an unsafe and open WiFi network it provides.
Presumably in addition to the surveillance systems giving prison vibes, to further track their customers.
